Dr. Lauren is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who specializes in the assessment and treatment of mood, anxiety and bipolar disorders in children and adults. She began her studies in the field at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, where she earned a bachelor's degree in Psychology. Subsequently, she earned her doctoral degree from Fordham University in New York, where she received extensive training in Child and Adolescent Psychology. Prior to opening The Mind Spa centers, Dr. Lauren was the Director of Behavioral Services at Noyes Children's Center in Rockville, MD.
Complementing her work with children and familes, Dr. Lauren also has experience providing psychological services to adults struggling with depressive, bipolar, and anxiety disorders, as well as marital/couples relationship issues. She has appeared on local morning talk shows, such as Fox 4's Morning Blend, to offer her expertise on everything from dating and relationships to living with chronic illness.
Throughout her professional career of more than 15 years, she has provided both therapy and testing services to young and old clients and informed treatment plans for a variety of diagnostic outcomes (e.g., learning disorders, competency evaluations, TBI, gifted and talented classification, executive functioning challenges, etc.). Dr. Lauren has delivered such services in a variety of treatment settings (e.g., schools, hospitals, nursing homes, residential facilities, etc.) and has worked with various high-profile government officials, directors and chief officers, as well as with local health care providers and their children. Therefore, not only does Dr. Lauren have a firm grasp of the human condition, but she understands the important roles that accurate assessment and diagnosis play in effectively resolving academic, emotional and medical complications.

In 2006, Dr. Lauren opened the very first Mind Spa location in Bethesda, Maryland, where effective psychotherapy, mental fitness training, consultation, and psychological testing have been provided for more than ten years.
